Welcome, 2014
It’s New Year’s Day. And again it’s bright and cold (-5 degrees) and the world is covered in snow. It’s the day we take down the tree, vacuum up the needles and get ready for the new year. It’s the day before I have to head back to work after (more than) a week off, but this year there is just one day of work and then a three-day weekend. (Next Monday is going to come soon enough and that’s okay.)
There are a few things I want to accomplish this year, and I hope (hope hope hope) that by throwing them out here they will become real. Here goes:
1. Join the 52 project. Add link: “A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
2. Write and/or Blog. Not every day. But nearly every day. Even if it’s just a word or two.
3. Be healthy. That means less sugar, fewer cards, more fruits & vegetables. (Does wine count as a fruit?).
4. Love. Myself. My family. My friends. Period.
I think that’s enough.
What do you want to accomplish this year?
